Anita Larkin graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Sydney College of The Arts in 1993. Represented by Defiance Gallery in Sydney since 2002, Larkin exhibits across Australia and internationally, with many of her works in public collections such as The Australian War Memorial Art Collection. The sculptural possibilities of handmade felt and making assemblages of collected objects have been the main focus of Larkin’s art practice. Through her engaging artworks, Larkin explores socio-political issues, communication and our relationships with functional objects.  Larkin has shared her creative skills, teaching sculpture and feltmaking for the past 25 years.
