About the event
Drawing is the foundation for visual art and a skill that anyone can learn. People have made marks with charcoal, ink, mud or graphite for millennia - and it meant something to them. We draw for pleasure, to remember something, to prepare for a bigger work of art, for others or just for ourselves. Anyone can draw!
We will be enjoying expressive and open ended warm ups, exploring the elements of design and the foundations of composition.
Our subject matter will be many and varied - from still life to outdoor vistas and everything in between. We will apply our growing skills to drawings of our choice and work on some real beauties!
