Linda Faiers has a passion for trying to capture the moment through a play with light, emotion and life, all connecting through her lens. She aims to tell a story with her photographs, using the all important appreciation of time, tone, light and composition that inform her work, whatever it is, wherever it takes her.
Linda works across both editorial and commercial fields of photography, equally at home working closely with the intricate needs and often longer lead times of book and magazine publishers, and the immediacy of website producers and on-line platforms as well as news editors in broadcast and print.
She currently lectures in Freelance Photography, Fine Arts Photoimaging, Screen and Media, Photo Restoration, and Graphic Design at TAFE Illawarra. Some of Linda's clients include World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), Earth Hour, TAFE NSW, Rugby Sevens, Kiama Tourism Board, FTV Asia, Saddleback Slow Foods, Dairy Farmers NSW, Landcare.
Linda covers sport as the official photographer for the Kiama Rugby Sevens, but also photographs other disciplines capturing the on-field tension, the heartbreak and glory, the colour of the sidelines and interplay as the game unfolds.
