Florabundance 2 Day Workshop - Mixed Media with Sharon Blair - 27th/28th Jan

If you’re looking to expand your creativity and try something new, this empowering 2-day mixed media workshop is perfect for you! You'll be inspired by the beauty of nature, with a focus on ‘Buds & Blooms’ in a rainbow of colours.
 
With experienced artist Sharon Blair as your guide, you'll learn how to mix a cohesive colour palette, create a colour sampler, and apply mixed media techniques such as wet-in-wet texture printing (to achieve organic blooms), geli printing hand-made papers, and how to build blooms using a super versatile release paper. It’s a wonderland of discovery!
 
During the workshop, Sharon will take you step-by-step through layering and collaging mixed media elements to create a stunning, one-of-a-kind piece of artwork. Along the way, you'll learn how to balance colours and resolve your composition to create a visually appealing and cohesive work of art. By the end of the workshop, you'll have all the skills and knowledge you need to continue creating beautiful mixed media paintings with creative confidence.
 
This is a great opportunity to explore and experiment with materials, techniques and processes in a fun, supportive environment – you’ll be amazed at what you're capable of!
 
The course is offered as a 2-day, studio-based experience.

A more detailed material list regarding canvas dimensions will be provided but please ensure you bring three of your favourite, high quality acrylic paint, and a brush or two.
