This workshop runs across TWO days 9 am-4 pm. The location is at Sharon Blair’s private art studio in Kiama. 
 
Dive into a two-day training workshop focusing on crafting unique collage papers. Explore mark-making, mixed media techniques, and the art of layering to create depth and sophistication in your mixed media creations. It was this fascination with layering that ignited my passion for mixed media over two decades ago!
 
I've poured my heart and soul into crafting this workshop, leaving none of my painting or design secrets unshared and its content has been tailored to various learning styles. Plus, I've filmed my entire process step-by-step, providing you with invaluable visual resources during our two days together. You can also look forward to hands-on demonstrations, personal guidance as you experiment, supportive class discussions, and handouts to take home.
 
This workshop encourages you to embrace imperfection, explore new techniques, and experiment with your unique style, as I guide you through one of my cohesive approaches to crafting intricate layered landscapes. 
 
This workshop will guide participants through practical learning milestones in colour mixing, numerous experimental mixed media techniques, design principles, and mark making and will focus on the art of layering mixed media over two immersive days.
 
Exploring this painting style will enhance your understanding of composition & design and ignite inspiration and confidence to finish your piece once home. 
 
Please note: Finishing a large artwork in just two days isn't the main aim of this workshop as this type of ‘layering’ in mixed media requires patience, thoughtful pauses, and considered assessment before making adjustments to complete your piece.
