Sarah Cole is Visual Artist and High School Art Teacher based in Wollongong. After growing up in Albany, Western Australia she studied an Undergraduate Degree at Curtin University Art School and gained a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Fashion and Textile Design.
Sarah has lived and travelled overseas and during this time spent two years working in New Hampshire in the USA facilitating a Summer Arts Program. Upon her return to Australia, she relocated to Wollongong and gained a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education (Visual Arts) from University of Wollongong and is now a permanent Visual Arts Teacher at a local High School.
Her current art practice in watercolour painting is inspired by the many organic shapes found within the Australian flora. More recently, Sarah has exhibited at multiple shows in both Sydney and the Illawarra. A major part of her professional development for 2018 was the facilitating, curating and exhibiting in ‘Fluid’ the Art Exhibition. ‘Fluid’ was an opportunity for processional development and networking and to provide a strategic avenue for local art teachers to maintain and refine their artistic practice.
