Seascape Painting Techniques with Liv Deans - Sat 19th October 10-3pm
In this class, experienced seascape painter Liv will provide you with some of her key techniques that she uses to create her seascape paintings.
Over 10 years of refining and continuing to practice painting the ocean has led to her being Artist of the Month in Shellharbour, creating murals for local and larger businesses, and doing commissions.
With acrylic paint and slow drying medium you will learn ways to approach painting the ocean. These will include an underwater scene and a beach scene where we work on creating distance and the transparent look that water has.
We will be talking about and practicing layering, blending, and highlighting to create a sense of harmony, transparency, and movement which we see in our ocean.
You may come away with one canvas painting and some miniature practice pieces on canvas pads. You will be supported in this practice with demonstrations and guidance.
Pictures in product example are not what we will be painting but demonstration of seascapes painted with these techniques.
